Field Manager, Immigration Field Program
The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights (The Leadership Conference) is the coalition of national organizations committed to civil and human rights in the U.S. Its supporting arm, The Leadership Conference Education Fund (The Education Fund), is the major research, education and communications organization informing the debate on civil and human rights.
We currently have an opening for a Field Manager, Immigration Field Program. This is a management-level position within the Department of Field Operations. The Field Manager, Immigration Field Program, is responsible for serving in a key capacity in the management of the immigration field program and a variety of related initiatives within the DFO. This includes but is not limited to: serving on the internal immigration team and providing organizing experience and coordination to a set of current state coalition(s), partner organizations and organizers in their work related to immigration organizing and rapid response needs. The Field Manager is also responsible for working with a team to implement a national field strategy to combat anti-immigrant initiatives at the state and local level while at the same time building support for comprehensive immigration reform at the federal level.
Minimum requirements are a Bachelors degree, four years of field/grassroots management and strategy development experience with a civil rights organization or related experience. Excellent writing skills and a proficiency in web activism software and Microsoft applications are also necessary. A willingness to travel extensively and experience in organizing and coalition building in a variety of settings is required.
This position reports to the Vice President, Field Operations.
