Senate Passes the ADA Amendments Act
On September 11, the U.S. Senate passed the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 on a voice vote, restoring Congress' original intent to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. President Bush is expected to sign the bill into law in the coming weeks.

Senate Introduces ADA Amendments Act
On August 1, the Senate introduced their version of the ADA Amendments Act, which will strengthen the protections of the original Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), passed in 1990.
