Reforming How Americans Vote. At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week, civil and human rights advocates spoke to the need for reforming the antiquated and uneven process governing how Americans register and vote in elections.

Remembering a Champion for Civil and Human Rights. "Senator Inouye was a man of conscience who dedicated his life and career to the advancement of all Hawaiians, but also to the narrowing of civil and human rights disparities for all Americans," said Wade Henderson, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, following the passing this week of Senator Daniel Inouye, who consistently supported civil rights advancements for all Americans during his distinguished congressional career and was a stalwart champion for the rights of Asian Americans, American Indians, and Native Hawaiians.
