Technology Assistance Forums

A Baseline Needs Assessment Survey * Technology Leadership Forums * Circuit Rider Partnership * Civilrights.org * Technology Assistance Forums * Digital Opportunity Public Service Announcement (PSA) Campaign * Communications and Technology Policy Initiative

While the Technology Leadership Forums promote a more favorable technology culture among the leaders of the civil rights community, periodic Technology Assistance Forums focus on supporting the Information Technology (IT) staffs at civil rights organizations.

The Forums are designed to create opportunities for employees to share technology-related knowledge and learn from each another. Promising applications of technology are highlighted and staff are trained to utilize these promising applications within their own organizations.

In addition, the Forums address barriers identified as hampering civil rights organizations' efforts to leverage the latest technologies more effectively including: technical resource information, fiscal resources, and staff technical training.

In May of 2001, the Leadership Conference launched "Helping to Prepare Civil Rights Organizations for the Digital Age," a technology assistance series developed to strengthen the communications and information technology capacity of civil rights organizations. Read more about the series

Helping to Prepare Civil Rights Organizations for the Digital Age is made possible throught the generous support of the AOL Time Warner Foundation.
