"It's hard to believe that someone with Alito's steel-trap recollection of cases spanning the decades has zero recollection of his membership in a group that advocated discrimination against women and minorities. It's just doesn't pass the laugh test.

For the last three days, Alito has refused to give straight answers on his record. But he can't hide from his record; the facts speak for themselves."

For more background on Alito's philosophy and record in the area of civil rights, please refer to LCCR's website: civilrights.org. Specifically, there is a sharply focused memo summarizing Alito's lackluster civil rights record as well as LCCR's letter of opposition detailing the coalition's reasons for opposition.
