THE LABOR MOVEMENT

THE LABOR UNION MOVEMENT has been yet another key partner in the civil rights movement from the very beginning, given its dedication to social and economic justice for all and, in particular, its support for workers' fight for rights on the job and in governmental decisionmaking. These rights not only include the right to be free from employment discrimination, but also the right of working families to fair pay, job safety, and quality, affordable health care.
